Wizard Of Oz Panto At Pavilion

This April Bournemouth will host its first-ever Enchanted Entertainment Easter extravaganza, an all new, professional pantomime version of ‘The Wizard of Oz’. Enchanted Entertainment, producers of many popular family theatre shows nationwide, are planning another theatrical spectacular but this time at Bournemouth Pavilion Theatre on the 5th & 6th April as part of a large-scale national tour.

Producer Guy Pascall said: “We’re really looking forward to coming to Bournemouth during the Easter holidays with this fantastic show. It’s got a great cast of TV stars and an amazing Live Band. We know how popular our Christmas pantomimes are across the UK and we’re now hoping to give audiences another quality family event during the year”.

Enchanted Entertainment will be bringing four action-packed performances of ‘The Wizard of Oz’ to Bournemouth Pavilion Theatre on the 5th & 6th April 2012. The cast features a host of top quality professional performers including No. 1 children’s star Dani Harmer ‘Tracy Beaker’ in the iconic role of Dorothy. She will be joined along the Yellow Brick Road by comedy legend Bobby Davro as Scarecrow, star of CBeebies’ Mighty-Mites & Tikkabilla Sarah-Jane Honeywell as Glinda and Aaron Sidwell ‘Steven Beale from EastEnders’ as the Wicked Witch of the West’s henchman.

Director Rob Forknall said: “It’s going to be great fun for all the family both young and old alike. Everyone remembers such great characters as the ‘The Cowardly Lion’ and ‘The Tin Man’ who needs a heart etc. This show will take the original book written by L. Frank Baum and give it a new twist as only Enchanted Entertainment can!”

Enchanted Entertainment are spending hundreds of thousands of pounds to ensure ‘The Wizard of Oz’ tour will be a spectacular family production, bringing together a top cast, amazing costumes, fantastic dance routines and plenty of popular songs to please all ages!!
